Shopify bundle ideas that sell: examples by industry (2026)

July 17, 2026Oscar Ortiz9 min read

You already know what a bundle is and why it works. The next question is different: which bundle should I build with my products? Here are Shopify bundle ideas that sell, with concrete examples by industry — skincare, coffee, candles, apparel, pets, supplements — the format that works best in each case, and why it converts. If the theory isn't clear yet, start with what Shopify bundles are and come back: this is the hands-on part.

Quick answer

The short formula: skincare sells routines (fixed bundle), coffee and food sell restock packs (volume discounts), candles and home goods sell boxes(mix & match and gifting), apparel sells outfits (fixed combo), pet brands sell welcome kits, and supplements sell the full cycle. Pick the format based on how your customer already buys — not the other way around — and build it no-code with an app like Comboo.

Shopify bundle ideas that sell: examples by industry for your store
The best bundle isn't the most creative one — it's the one that mirrors how your customer already wants to buy.

Summary: which bundle works in each industry

Before the detail, the full table. The four formats you'll see (fixed, mix & match, volume, gift box) are covered in depth in our bundles guide; what matters here is which one to use for what you sell:

IndustryBundle typeNamed example
Beauty / skincareFixed (routine)"Complete Glow Routine"
Coffee / foodVolume (restock)"Monthly Restock 3-Pack"
Candles / homeMix & match + gift box"Build Your Box of 3"
Apparel / accessoriesFixed (outfit)"Full Look Combo"
PetsFixed + restock"New Puppy Welcome Kit"
SupplementsVolume (cycle)"90-Day Supply 3-Pack"

Beauty and skincare: sell the routine, not the product

Nobody buys "a serum" — they buy better skin. That's why the bundle that crushes it in skincare is the fixed routine: cleanser + serum + moisturizer, in the order they're used.

  • Format: fixed bundle of 3–4 steps at 10–15% off.
  • Example: "Complete Glow Routine" — cleanser, vitamin C serum, and SPF moisturizer. Gift variant: "First Routine Kit" for someone starting from zero.
  • Why it converts: you remove the hard decision ("what goes with what?", "in which order?"). The bundle is expert advice, packaged — and whoever buys the full routine reorders the full routine.

Bonus: add a mini size or a low-cost accessory (gua sha, headband) that lifts perceived value at almost no cost.

Coffee and food: the restock pack

Coffee runs out. That's your superpower: your customer already knows they'll buy again, so the right bundle pulls that repurchase forward with a volume discount.

  • Format: volume — "buy 2, save 8%; buy 3, save 12%".
  • Example: "Monthly Restock 3-Pack" — three 12 oz bags (a household's monthly supply) with free shipping. Discovery variant: "Origin Trio" with three different origins for customers who don't have a favorite yet.
  • Why it converts: the customer saves on something they were going to buy anyway, and you turn three orders (three shipments, three transaction fees) into one. Margin per order goes up even with the discount.

The same logic applies to granola, chocolate, hot sauce, or any consumable: if it runs out, it gets a volume pack.

Candles and home goods: the box you build and gift

Candles have two buyers: the one collecting scents for themselves and the one who needs a ready-made gift. One format for each.

  • Format: mix & match ("pick 3 of our 10 candles") + a fixed gift box for seasonal peaks.
  • Example: "Build Your Box of 3" at 15% off individual pricing. For gifting season: "Cozy Home Gift Box" — candle + designer matches + card, already packaged.
  • Why it converts: choosing scents is part of the fun of buying candles — mix & match turns that fun into a higher order value. And the gift box removes the gifter's number-one friction: having to wrap and assemble something presentable.

If your catalog has variety (scents, flavors, colors), mix & match is your strongest play; we cover how to set it up step by step in our Shopify mix & match guide.

Apparel and accessories: the outfit combo

In fashion, the bundle wins when it answers "what do I wear this with?". The full-look photo sells; the combo lets people buy the full look.

  • Format: fixed bundle of 2–3 pieces that already appear together in your photos.
  • Example: "Full Look Combo" — oversized tee + cap at 12% off. Accessories variant: "Sock Trio" or "3 caps for the price of 2" to move basics.
  • Why it converts: the customer already saw the outfit styled in the photo — the combo just puts a buy button on what they already wanted. It also helps you move accessories that barely sell on their own.

Pets: the welcome kit (plus the usual restock)

A new puppy owner is in "I need everything and I don't know what to buy" mode. That moment is gold for a fixed bundle.

  • Format: fixed starter kit + volume pack for food or treats.
  • Example: "New Puppy Welcome Kit" — bowl, leash, toy, and training treats. For restock: "Treats 4-Pack" with a tiered discount.
  • Why it converts: you solve a stressful shopping trip in one click and become "their pet's store" from day one. Consumable restock (food, litter, treats) works exactly like coffee: it runs out, it gets a pack.

Supplements: sell the full cycle

A supplement taken for 3 weeks does nothing, and your customer knows it. The right bundle sells the time it takes to see results.

  • Format: volume aligned to the usage cycle (2–3 months), or a fixed stack.
  • Example: "90-Day Supply 3-Pack" — three tubs of protein or collagen at 15% off. Stack variant: "Energy + Rest Combo" with two complementary products (pre-workout + magnesium).
  • Why it converts: the pitch isn't savings, it's results: "results show up in month three — get the full cycle". The volume discount just closes the decision.

The pattern behind every idea here

None of these bundles invents a need: they all package something the customer was already going to do (finish the routine, restock coffee, give a gift, buy the outfit). That's why they're among the most profitable levers to increase your average order value on Shopify without spending another dollar on traffic.

Key dates: your bundle calendar

Gift boxes are bundles with a harvest date. These are the ones you can't miss:

  • Valentine's Day (February): couple-friendly boxes and "for the two of you" combos — "Date Night Box" with a mid-range price point.
  • Mother's Day (May): one of the strongest gifting dates of the year. A fixed "For Mom Box" with your 2–3 best-loved products, ready to gift.
  • BFCM (November): Black Friday–Cyber Monday is where volume packs and BOGO win — shoppers expect the big discount, so package quantity.
  • Holidays (December): multiply your gift box into 2–3 price tiers (say $25, $50, and $100) to cover everything from Secret Santa to the big gift.

Rule of thumb: publish each seasonal bundle 2–3 weeks before the date and retire it after — the same mix & match gets recycled under a new name for the next one.

How to build these bundles without code

Every idea on this list uses the same four formats, and none of them requires touching code. Shopify's native bundles app covers simple fixed bundles, but falls short on what converts best here: no mix & match, no automatic discounts, no volume pricing.

That's what Comboois for: you create the bundle (fixed, mix & match, or volume) from a dashboard, set the discount, add the block to your theme in one click, and you're done — the discount applies automatically at checkout and each product's inventory is tracked correctly. The "Glow Routine", the "Restock 3-Pack", and the "Build Your Box" all come out of the same app.

Checklist before launching your bundle

  • Name it after the benefit, not the inventory: "Complete Glow Routine" sells; "3-Product Combo" doesn't.
  • Show the savings next to the price ("you save $12") — the customer needs to see the win.
  • Photograph the bundle assembled: the products together, as they'll arrive.
  • Start with one or two bundles, measure for a week or two, and double down on the winner.
  • Protect your inventory: use a solution that deducts real stock for each component.

Frequently asked questions about bundle ideas

How many products should a bundle have?

For fixed bundles, 2 to 4 products: enough to lift the order value without overwhelming anyone. For mix & match, letting customers pick 3 to 6 units from a group of 6 to 12 options works well. More options isn't always better — too much variety stalls the decision and lowers conversion.

What discount should I put on a bundle?

10% to 20% off versus buying the items separately is usually the sweet spot: the savings feel real and your margin holds. For gift boxes you can reduce or skip the discount entirely — there, the customer pays for presentation and convenience, not savings.

Fixed bundle or mix & match: which should I choose?

Fixed if you know better than the customer what goes together (a skincare routine, a starter kit). Mix & match if your catalog has lots of variety within the same product type (candles, snacks, nail polish) and choosing is part of the fun. Many stores run both at once.

Do I need to code to create these bundles?

No. With a no-code app like Comboo you create fixed, mix & match, and volume-discount bundles from a dashboard, add the block to your theme in one click, and the discount applies automatically at checkout. Each product's inventory is tracked correctly.

How far ahead should I launch seasonal bundles?

Publish the box or kit 2 to 3 weeks before the date (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, the holidays) so it has time to show up in searches and campaigns, then sell through the last guaranteed-shipping day. After the date, recycle the same format under a new name.
